Lighthouse Guild International!

Jewish Guild Healthcare has joined forces with Lighthouse International to offer the broadest array of services for people with vision loss.

Long-term care

Our care managers coordinate and manage medical and healthcare needs for over 13,000 members, helping people stay safe in their own homes and communities.

Diabetes care

Diabetes can increase the risk of vision loss, which is why we help people learn to manage the disease and understand the signs of diabetes-related vision problems.

Eye Care

Our eye care professionals are specially trained to diagnose and treat vision problems, and if possible, to prevent them from happening.

Children and Vision Loss

If your child has vision loss, you may find our tele-support groups for parents a real help.  We also have a school for students with vision loss and other disabilities.

Adaptive Technology

Are you blind or visually impaired?  At our Tech Center you will find experts who can help you determine what adaptive technology is right for you and your needs and train you to use them.

A Feeling for Movement
Students from the Harriet and Robert Heilbrunn School at the Guild recently visited the Touch Collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Museum educators introduced them to the concept of movement in sculpture. The students handled copies of ancient Roman statuary, bronzes from the Italian Renaissance and a twentieth-

century Eskimo sculpture of a mother and child as well as examples of Degas’ dancers. They were encouraged to feel the sculptures, strike the poses and then draw the movements inspired by the sculpture. Donate    Events    Volunteer
